Happiness

Happiness, is overrated. It is an experience one seeks for To find the souls true intent. One step forward, Can be directed to pain, and humility. BUT, when in the desirable direction, Freedom from suffering , Emerges. When near happiness, A sense of relief comes forth. It has a voice so vivid It venoms the gates to my mind. The windows to its soul Trances my sensibility. It pulls me in to where I cannot escape. And anxiously I await every sunrise, Hoping, to encounter happiness Once more. The cast of happiness Which I speak of, Shapes more blissful moments. Glues a permanent smile Behind my shattered mask. And is clever, Beyond belief. The cast of happiness which I speak of, Is the light that leads me Through everyday. It is my freedom from suffering. It is an addiction. The cast of happiness Which I speak of, Is you.
