Hanging Roses In Windows

I learned from my grandmother To dry roses in windows Hung, upside down, from a string- Maybe because that way All the red would flow to their head Like when one does handstands- Handstands are never something That I learned how to do Particularly satisfactorily... I've always been a bit too- Off-balance- I learned from my mother Not to hang around windows, That I am not a rose To be put up to dry... When you spend so long Leaning over windowsills, You can only ever be- Off-balance-
