Hands Gone Cold

My feet begins staggering My weight feels off My vision starts fading I feel I cannot talk Hands gone cold My touch is almost gone All these feelings Makes me feel I am old My hearing is silencing My nerves begin to twitch As I feel my whole body I feel nothing but an itch An itch for love I feel I must scratch But this itch is hard to reach For it is on my back Even though I try to scratch The strength is something I lack As I reach further I feel it's within arms reach I begin to scratch this feeling My hand tingles down to my feet A feeling worth dying for A feeling to have and to hold My heart is filled with warmth and love My hands are no longer cold

Oh, to find such an itch and be able to scratch it. I love the way your senses come alive again once you scratch the itch of love. It is out there and always seems elusive, but if we reach far enough and long enough, I believe we shall find it! Beautiful writing; very thought-provoking! Love, Carolyn
