I write my cursive words on you
deft fingertips and shades of blue
the place those phrases lead me to
your arbors open for me
their petals, soft, adore me …
your dermal landscape, quite aware
my glyphs wind down your fleshy stair
seductive secrets, spelled and bare
that tingly touch, hypnotic
man’s manuscript, erotic …
the one bequest my love remands
is if your body understands
the things I’m asking with my hands
those questions, lush and tender
each kiss, returned to sender …
dear pretty lass, no need to pout
my careful claws will never shout
or ever rush to spell things out
a tactile, languid lisper
of things we’re meant to whisper …
oh how can just the blush your cheek
or words put to my touch, so meek
make knees and self-control so weak?
each sexy phrase now turning
to flames of passioned yearning …
lost deep in sheets a-burning
lost deep …
lost deep.

* This is another form I created called simply “CINQOPET” … it is made up of five stanzas of five lines each, the first three lines in Iambic Tetrameter, the four and fifth lines in Catalectic Iambic Tetrameter, (IT shortened by one syllable at the end), a rhyme scheme of AAABB, CCCDD, etc, and a tag at the end of the poet’s choosing. *
