Hand Upon My Shoulder
That hand upon my shoulder
Was always there for me
It’s always there when needed
It’s not a hand you see.
For the hand upon my shoulder
It descends there from above
Is the hand of the almighty
It shows me how to love.
It pushes me when needed
Consoles me when I’m low
Strengthens me when weak
It sets my heart a glow.
For the hand upon my shoulder
Is also there with you
I see it in your actions
It is in everything you do.
