Haman and Hitler
Years and months and days… time
Separate the two
But the oddity of their similar plot
Of what they wanted to do...
“Kill them all, we do not care
Be it right or be it wrong
The draught of blood brought to my lips
Will end in joyous song.
Do not allow my eyes to be cast upon
Such a shameful sight…
Take them all, by neck and wrist
Murder the children in the night
The children and the ones who love them
And everything they touch
Burn it, smash it, it’s unclean;
I do so know this much.
Why then, did God, allow for this
Monstrosity to be born?
Why is there this pathetic race
Here for us to scorn?
And why do we, two faces of evil
Need to hate them so
To feed the fire of lust in our soul
There’s no other passion
That can drive me to go.
So kill them one, kill them all!
And don’t one eye look away!
The splatter of blood, the cry of old
Has already begun to decay.
What will happen to us, I wonder
When our torment is never satisfied
Will we then also, enjoy a doomed fate
When all the Jews have died?”
