Half Way There

Five half-lives approach zero Takes calculus to reach anew Then the moment begins again The exhausting cycle with one end Only fools think we’re binary Take a lifetime to get over zero It takes love to let go of the one We’re shades of gray in the middle To all things turn and turn The halfway point ever elusive Something old burns away Something is reborn again Wednesday turns to Friday Midway is always a Thursday New days turn to yesterdays The next week fresh with fear Revolving in old ruts is easy Old defeats keep wheels spinning I wonder when I’ll break free Half-way out I’ll be strife free By observing I alter the past Fear’s iterations grow old With insight the future is fresh And half-life finds its inflection

A scientific view on life. We all go thru many iterations. I like the last few lines ~ 'With insight the future is fresh, And half-life finds its inflection'. Nicely penned.

It's all very intelligently tied up in this poem, so hopefully I'm not wide of the mark if I state that small steps in the direction you wish to go is still a good move. I like the line 'revolving in old ruts' possibly because that's my dance space
