Half the Heart

My heart if you were true You'd have half the heart to see me through A love unseen by the naked eye Felt by a Lovers truth and dare You wouldn't love me black and Blue Punishing me for what I felt in you Thoughts in which were not created by self Like a Dog wishing you'd throw me a bone Why shall I bare a screaming heart When you chose me and I not you Knowing of your own plans You should have left me alone if you had half the heart Instead of taking part of my despair After getting what you wanted Embodied now as America's most wanted For committing a crime of intent To eat my head tainting my heart In which you had intent to break Now both having half a heart For the next worse to declare If you had half a heart You'd be able to see me for me Rather then punishing me and not letting me go Only after three belly's and many moons cold Left with children I bare alone
