Half-Life
It's me and the four walls again;
I look outside the window with agony.
No more handshakes,
No more random house visits,
No more sky-gazing,
No more playing soccer.....
Life feels stale - unpalatable to the soul
My world feel as though it's sinking
into the abyss,
with every minute.
Uncertainty looms as I mask my paranoia
with counting the number of times I've got
the cards right in a poker game,
in my thoughts.
Solace now can only be experienced virtually,
words and faces assuring you a brighter future.
I have poetry, music and memes to keep me sane....
