Beautiful lines. I saw two red headed woodpeckers before the trees budded out, but they must have gone to find some dead wood.

Good Evening Charmaine. This is perfect in my eyes. The format is in true form voice and tone. The moment is endearing. Well done

A beautiful and melodic Haiku that speaks of spring and all that nature brings our way to celebrate the season. I love hearing and then watching woodpeckers on the trees. It is an almost magical sight

Charma, the woodpeckers at my old home used to be quite annoying, but your haiku is delightful! Right now there are people in many states hopefully "drumming on the branch of Spring." A lovely haiku.
