Actually, it was far more beautiful than sad. It's just me, I know, but cemeteries aren't sad places to me for the most part. As a child I spent many Sundays at my father's grave with my mother, and learned to drive (in the cemetery) while she visited my dad.

I so dislike seeing headstones fallen or leaning askew in old parts of a cemetary. Souls long forgotten... enjoyed your poem.
