Gyspy Rose

Down a long deserted road A young girl stands Holding a red rose Such a pretty girl With long light brown flowing hair Yet she has a blank stare Cause no one seems to really care They left her there As the story goes Gypsy Rose They had never seemed To want her She always felt like Such a burden To people around her Yelling at her Even if she did no wrong Sad they never showed The young girl how to be strong All she wants Is to belong The cold wind blows Gypsy Rose Then one day He comes along Her heart suddenly sings a song But there’s a hesitation She’s had so much devastation In her life And she remembers him Oh so well She has loved him before And things didn’t go well But her need to believe That they had always Been meant to be Is stronger than her Wanting to shut him out She takes another chance on his love Looking to the heaven above Says a thank you prayer That once again he was the one there And how much he really does care She does however long for time Where innocence was lost So she could give it to him But knows that now the cost Is so very high And he just smiles to say That’s the price we in our lives Had to pay And all that matters is the here and now And each others live to share So no longer does she have that blank stare The red rose she once held Has wilted and gone away But love has replaced it finally and is here to stay She will follow him Where ever he goes She is his one and only his Gypsy Rose
