Guardian of My Soul
Few people ever get the chance to meet
the guardian of their soul eternal
Their lives never truly complete
Not even in a dream nocturnal
An angel dressed all in virgin white
First time you came to me
For seventeen years, my loving sprite
When you died, the emptiness- an angry banshee
Distraught and lost, missing you for years
Lost on this plane, seeking truth
I learned, fused souls need no tears
Always together, life and death skimming through
Magic gift worked from the Gods to protect
My aching, seeking half has come together
In any mortal shell, you are perfect
Again in this life, every storm we shall weather
Do not ignore the gifts
that gods adorn you with
Everyone has a hope and wish
Be not blind or reject the myths
Look around yourself at your world
Open your eyes, only the ignorant truly die
Would you see your twin, if in front of you hurled?
For those lost, I beg of you to try
Guardian of my soul eternal
I embrace you in your entirety
You are my twin, my guide- internal
Souls circling, forever you and me.
