Grown Up
Summers day
Waking up to find everything is new to me.
Walking in the streets for the first time having a different view
The start of a new day means nothing to me
Same office to go to
Same work to do
The sun don’t matter
The news stresses me out
Her hair is straight mines not
The hell with him his wife’s dating the boss
Accounts, accounts, accounts.
My house is bigger than theirs
I pay more on my car than on my house
Diet coke, fruits, provitas, no lunch
Long hours……
Meetings, functions, planning.
Sleepless nights…
Endless conversations, gossiping, fights.
Acting like kids but here we all have equal rights.
Stiletto’s, silky shirts, suits and ties.
This is my new life
I’m one of them now
