Grey Hair
Grey hair in glorious flair
Life in top gear
My young will you ever get there
Will you lend wisdom an ear?
It doesn’t come year after year
Not to those who’s path’s unclear
Maturity is something rare
It's the giant leap over fear
It's the sheer will to dream big, to dare
It’s attacking life with the hunger of a bear
And the full blast of nuclear
Will my heart ever breath that air
Through a mind so clear, so pure?
Sitting in my rocking chair, up in the stratosphere
My rocket launching, burning my last flare
A new found perspective, a new sound I hear
To map life with an open heart full of love and care
In shining silver and glorious wonder, for a place up here
