Green
Star-laden grooves
charm our lives overdue
books in bed with memory
our hoaky wishes' heavy
dark clouds paved to heady
wheels turning in unison
timed with illusion
my illusion
my fear of being alone
my desire to see your home
undoing the sordid bloom
of a pre-college summer doom...
Humanly I desire to kiss
the evergreen planet you grew
melting metal and magic
compressing it
into the air you breathed my way:
"What do you like to read?"
Breaths now transformed into veils;
fogged windows that no wiping clears.
