Grateful Blossoms
The special things that you have done
in humbleness and love,
The words you shared, the pleasures spared,
to help me when I called,
The sacrifices offered up in your selfless way
reveal a true servant's heart that I cannot repay.
But if I could plant a "Thank-You" tree
to blossom grateful leaves,
I'd plant it in your own front yard
for the things you've done for me.
Throughout the years you'd know each Spring
as the leaves blew in the wind,
That I remain forever thankful
for you, my trusted friend.
