Grandpa's Faith
Some are remembered for their good deeds,
others for their courage conquering defeats;
my grandpa was a hero so admired an loved..
how could I not cherish the honesty he showed?
When he opened the pages of the Holy Bible
and began to read with a tone so humble;
and I listened to those parables that Jesus himself preached,
" All the gold won't buy the wisdom found here. " he declared.
Grandpa often said, " Can a meek man be truly whole,
if he has no love for himself and others and still walk tall? "
He paused, then continued, " I walk with God and rejoice...
so can you, my child, to find that joy which excites His voice."
" Learn from me and acquire the knowledge from this book,
anybody who refuses to read it, will not see the joyful look
of a preacher from the pulpit who feels the glory of salvation."
Even grandpa's faith is a true example of deserved redemption.
