Grandma's Abracadabra Book

A new book Grandma brought along, bound with adventures awaiting: renewed storyline, refreshed scene, anxious in my mind to belong. Captivating, the cover leaped out, announcing pop-ups like a gong. Delightfully, she read the book as I pulled each tab slow but strong. Behold a circus pulsating: refreshed scene, renewed storyline, achieved by lion's teeth and song. 3-28-2021 Abracadabra March Magic Poetry Contest Sponsor: William Kekaula 8 syllables per line Abracadabra rhyme scheme (also acrostic)

Pop-ups eh! That probably explains my want for sci-fi, nonetheless, a wondrous share of a difficult poetic form, Juliet, my compliments for your participation and placement, Aloha!

Thanks for the challenge, William. I wanted to make it an acrostic too so that Abracadabra popped out, but I couldn't figure out how to make it stay bold with copy and paste.

I sure remember those wonderful pop-up books whose fond memory your poem has rekindled. Thank you, Juliet! :) gw

Thanks for your comments. Good times. My grandma had one with lion's teeth that I liked to stick my hand in, no music or circus though. I looked forward to it every time she came to visit.
