Tell me friend I need to know
There is a song
Written long ago
It's sung by all throughout the land
So boldly, proudly
We profess a plan
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
I wonder friend
Are you heaven bound?
I was blind but now I see

is your heart set free?
Accepting His Grace, this message brings
Do you know my Lord
In this song you sing?
Have you seen the wretch within your soul?
Seeking forgiveness
is that your goal?

For because of Grace
my hearts now pure.
Forgiven of much with no payment due
His wonderful gift
of life brand new.
So next time friend when you sing this tune
Examine your heart
Oh call on Him soon!
Sing this song in a whole new light
Forgiven by Grace
with Heaven in sight!
