Goodbye Happiness

Another sunset; As the light is consumed by invading darkness my thoughts silence and the solemn candle flame is lit; Aspirations, Inspirations, Determination, Fortification, all eluding without a natural fit; Warm becomes the sought embrace of well deserved acceptance; Yet, cold envelops the vengeful karmic bittersweet fruit of penance; Dashing away at all the "What If's" and with them the resistant heart of the hope that breeds independence; So long, to a future of "possibility" and "probability"; Restful are those with new found comprehension of true inevitability; As powerful as idealism of Utopian peace is, fools disbelieve that torn in two are its seemingly tranquil grounds; Since in this absence of faith which has broken the fragile shell of peaceful life, and filled it with a quiet darkness; With no longer a love for the ever-glorious moonlit night, my mind bid farewell to woeful plight, And from my lips "Goodbye To Happiness".
