Goodbye
The smile you wear with sweet embrace,
so warm, it melts my weary heart.
Your laughter lines your lovely face,
a gently sculpted work of art.
With joy of you my days are bright
like morning mist you've touched my soul,
but now I must accept my plight
and loose my dream, accept my toll.
Oh how I wish that you would stay
but you alone must make your choice,
and longingly I'll miss that day
when last I hear your caring voice.
For now you're here, you haven't flown,
and yet I feel so all alone.
