Goodbye
I held you close as you exhaled
Your last breath of life from your soul
Your years of unblessed suffering
I loved you to make you whole
And were there a better place to
Plant you in Natures' empty womb
I would surely seek it out
And claim it for your tomb
My lovely feathered friend of short
I rescued you and loved you
I coddled you and fed you
Held you as lovers' do
And now you must cross over
A carcass whose soul is spent
Good by my lovely bless you
I am so sorry you have went
But one day we shall meet
On Heavens' gate a souls reunion
In bliss and songs of love
Blessings from high above.
