Goodbye

Goodbye, my friend, I’m going to miss you And all the funny things you used to do They way you laughed, and laughed at yourself When you alone thought it was funny, no one else The way you used to listen to me Like I was the only one who mattered When you used to watch me, hang on my every word And look at me as though I was the most beautiful girl in the world The late night talks, the words exchange And all the love that friendship brings Goodbye, my friend, I’m going to miss you Goodbye, my love, I’m going to miss you It’s time for me to let you go But I’ll never forget the love that was so true Something I hope you always know I loved you, trusted you, believed in you too I’ll miss the touch of your hand and your lips That so softly touched mine with your kiss I’ll miss making love to your body and mind And knowing inside someone so special was mine Drying your tears when you had to cry Holding you close to me every night Goodbye, my love, I’m going to miss you Goodbye, my dreams, I’m going to miss you Until I can find new ones to take your place Goodbye, my trust, I’m going to miss you Without you it’s hard to have faith Goodbye, my heart, I’m going to miss you While you are broken and torn apart Goodbye, my life, I’m going to miss you Until I find the strength to make a new start Goodbye, my soul, I’m going to miss you Until I can earn you back again Goodbye, my man, I’m going to miss you How I wish it didn’t have to end Goodbye, my love, my heart, my muse You will never know how much I’ll miss you
