Goodbye

As I walk on hard nails, To set alight a burning blaze. Rings of smoke cover the skies, Echoes of cries, Heard past the mountain highs. Once a bond so tight, I needed not to fright. Feelings of the highest height, A love burning ever so bright. But soon the fire is blown by the wind, A blooming tree now trimmed. Now cutting old ties, Solemn cries, Teary eyes, Looking up at the sky, As I say goodbye.
