Goodbye

I can't stand that I'm a cause for pain Because of the life that I pursue But I no longer think love's possible With no exchange from anyone, from you I'll always think of all I've left The ones, deep down, that I'll always miss But I know that time will make it easier You'll hardly think of me, except at times you'll reminisce And the cut used to feel deeper The hurt used to be unbearable It's different now, at least I pretend it is And the pain isn't so terrible It sucks, but I know you'll be okay If comfort I can find despite the isolation With all you have (which I dont) You have the best of the situation I can't stand to be a cause for pain But over this I'll no longer fret I'll take comfort in this reality: Like the rest, you too will forget
