Gone Forever
There are people who have gone forever.
Forever they left me here, forever, …forever.
Their smiles, their songs, their heart, their souls.
Nowhere, they are now. What remains are only nouns.
Her crystal hair, his toy. A sorrow I can’t hide.
Time has taken them, brought away in a tide.
They were holding me in their shoulders.
I could hear their heart when toddlers.
When alive they were always approaching.
In their eyes I was precious belonging.
Silently and smiling they could count my fears,
With their hands they could heal my tears.
There are people who have gone forever.
Forever they left me here, forever, …forever.
Time has gone and spring appears again.
But flowers and trees can’t fill this pain.
When alive they were there singing.
In their mouth my name was living.
They touched me till my essence
They cuddled me with everlasting presence.
Now I look around, their chair, their book.
At times I feel they are still there in the wood.
I keep alive their plan, their flower
But all their love has no longer power.
Oh I would like them back again
I would surf the time with no pain.
I still hear their steps and voice
Whenever I attend to a sound or noise
There are people who have gone forever.
Forever they left me here, forever, …forever.
My child, my mum, my beloved son
I have been left alone here to mourn.
