Gone But Not For Good

Moments past, long dead and gone, Etched still though said and done; Meandering to what once had been, Olden, bygone days way back when; Restless the ghosts of yesteryears, In the brain like a nagging refrain; Enduring what is best forgotten, Surrendering to memories again.

Memories dwell in the corners of our minds and good or bad they often return to visit at the most peculiar times. Thank you Wilfredo for sharing such a well written Acrostic. God's Love and Many Blessings, Always, Adell

The deep corners of my mind are often plagued by the very same thing. I often need to push them away as I refuse to surrender! I cannot even watch old videos of when my kids were young without crying my eyes out, so I don't. Oh well, at least we are still here. Excellent write Wilfredo.

Hey Fred, great write. But it is so good to remember back when I had hair and my mind was wide and my waist was narrow, back when I knew what my feet looked like, back when a teenager was able to pull the back of their pants all the way up. Oh! For the good old days. God Bless. (I'm still allowed to say that until at least January). Back when "In God we Trust" wasn't open to debate, back when everyone who wanted to be American said the pledge with "Under God" in it. Vince
