Gone
This is an awful certain word
No room to make a comeback
It’s so definite nothing to be seen
It leaves a mist off the beaten track
When a lover leaves their mate
A void is so painfully felt
That word gone so hard to bear
You think your heart will melt
You have a much loved possession
But it’s gone not to be found
It’s so many memories for you
Gone it is despite looking all around
But one day also this world
Will be gone to be no more
Nothing left of its effect
Just a vapor nothing left in store
Then God will create a new world
Where righteousness and glory dwell
Filled with God’s redeemed ones
Whose salvation they will foretell
(Gone is a word so definite, nothing can be added or taken away but it leaves such a powerful effect on us all. just my thoughts as I pondered upon it.)
