Golden Sunrise
Above the waters
Above the sparkling sea
A golden sunrise
Reflected in the brine
The sky is lit up
with brillant colors
Small sea creatures
are tossed by the waves
The sun heats the water
allowing its inhabitants
to continue to live beneath
the waves
A beachcomber walks by
in the early morning
Her eyes are riveted
on the sunrise
She smiles subtly when
she feels the rays
strike her face
She knows the new
dawn will bring change
To the sea, to the land
to creatures great and small
Other eyes have seen the
bright sunrise
Other eyes have seen the
sunset
This morning may never
be repeated
Yet there's time for her
To enjoy the crashing of
the waves
as they strike
a sandy shoreline
As morning falls sround
her shoulders
our beachcomber takes a breath
of the salt sea air
Life is renewed once more
