Golden Handcuffs
POEM:
Bragging about their golden handcuffs
contemporary serfs wearing white collared buttoned shirts
modishly masquerade as caged chickens
by sticking flowery feathers up their derrieres
emasculated last man's search for the cure
NOTES:
This poem embodies the essence of a poetic form I've coined as "Eigotanka." It blends the elegance of the English language with the Japanese Tanka tradition. The term "Eigo," meaning "English" in Japanese, signifies the cross-cultural nature of this new poetic form.
