Gold

The gold wedding ring a symbol of a knot, To keep always unclouded and untainted, A close tight promise to sustain and to hold; To safeguard from evil not to be contaminated. Spring announced gloriously by blooming flowers, With a better climate and less atmospheric chills; The fresh leaves sprouting in abundance on trees, While the fields astonish with the vast daffodils. The Christmas tree standing tall, With animated lights on every branch; Wrapped unevenly with golden tinsels Decorated with golden baubles hanging. Thanksgiving a festive adored and cherished, With food of plenty and drinks for merriment; Pumpkin pies and roasted turkeys and stuffing, Presented by butterballs to compliment. The sun blazes in a lonely blue sky, As the camels stroll along and assert; On a drawn-out and tiresome stretch, Of golden sands of the Sahara Desert As many devotees celebrate the crucifixion, The sombre churches filled with prayers; Children waiting anxiously for the third day, To open their Easter eggs in gold wrappers. The cold weather in many winter days, Dressed up in woolen clothes to keep warm; The fireplace blazes with golden flames; Watching from the window a heavy rainstorm.
