Going Home

When your days are sad and Lonely, And things are going wrong, Just stop and hear me say, "Cheer up and carry on" Every time you see my picture, Just see me smile and say, "Don't cry I'm only sleeping, "We'll meet again someday" God saw my future weary, So he did what he knew best, He came to me and whispered, "Please come with me and rest". I bid no one a last farewell, or even said Good-Bye, I was gone before you knew it, And only God knows why. It broke my heart to leave you, But I did not go alone, For part of you went with me, The day God took me home.
