God's Wonders
Dear Lord, I am so thrilled with great wonder
At just being alive in Your neat world.
Some nights, bad storms appear and bring thunder.
Day returns blue skies, the sun has unfurled.
I pause in my lowly job as weeder,
To listen to the welcome, buzzing bees,
And to watch the humming bird at feeder,
As rose opens her blossoms, just to please.
Living in greenest of green surroundings,
With tall mountains ringed all proudly around,
I'm humbled by nature's wild aboundings,
The raw beauty that by man can be found.
That You have let me pillage and plunder,
Dear Lord, I am so thrilled with great wonder.
