God's Equality
GOD GAVE A LOAF TO EVERY BIRD.
He also gave fair share to me.
GOD MADE NO ACT WITHOUT A CAUSE.
All scholars will no doubt agree.
HE TOUCHED ME SO I LIVE TO KNOW
And my whole, long, life remember
HE WAS MY HOST, HE WAS MY GUEST,
January through December.
HOUSES-- SO THE WISE MEN TELL ME,
Are man's invention, built with pride.
I CAUTIOUS SCORED MY LITTLE LIFE,
Awed by God's world, my first abide.
