I am just so grateful for all He has done for me and mine.
God is good.
He's seen me through a lot.
Through poverty and lonliness,
I didn't have a pot;
But He was there to see me through;
Held me up when I was down.
Though oft it seemed I was alone,
He was still around.
He provided just enough,
To see me through hard times.
He saw to it I was fed,
When I didn't have a dime.
He provided shelter,
To protect me from the storm,
And He stood by and guarded me,
To keep me safe from harm.
Too oft we look the other way,
And we don't see God's goodness.
We're so wrapped up in misery,
We cannot see His goodness;
And goodness is the only word,
Describing all He is.
If you asked me to describe Him,
All I can say is this,
If there is any word to tell,
If mere words really could,
The only word befitting Him,
Is to say that God Is Good.
