Goblins
When I Was but a Child
And Bedtime Stories Were Told
I'd Go to Sleep and Dream
Covered up Against the Cold
I Remember Fairy Tales
And Christmas Time Was Nice
When Everything Had a Blanket of Snow
And Dripping Water Turned to Ice
But the Stories I Remember Best
And like to Hear about
Were the Ghosts and Witches on Halloween
And How to Keep the Goblins out
Well, the Goblins Never Got Me
Not until I Was Grown
I'd Have Felt Much Safer as a Child
Had this Fact by Me Been Known
I Never Knew What Goblins Were
Except That They Would Get Me
But Now I'm Grown I Know
They're Big and Dark and Ugly
Lies and Broken Promises
Are What Feeds Them Everyday
They Steal in and Break Your Heart
Before They'll Go Away
So If You're Just a Child
You've Nothing to Worry about
It's When You Get All Grown up
The Goblins Will Get You....
If You Don't Watch out
