Go Ahead

Many have experienced this more than a time or two, “go ahead if you have to,” clearly designed to help just you. At first you’re thoughts are, “this is not right.” Quickly you rationalize “ maybe I’ll sleep better tonight.” So you proceed and in fact despite full steam ahead, it’s amazing how quickly, the other falls asleep in bed. Lying on your back, you’re thinking while looking at the ceiling, “what the heck was that?” a searing primal thought not healing. It wasn’t worth the drive, searching for a pent up release, this feeling so useless, like some abandoned roadside valise. Experience will teach regarding such one sided affairs, avoid them all and wait for someone who cares.
