Global Warming

It's December 3rd and 50 degrees What's wrong with this picture I ask Usually a land of ice and snow But here in the sunshine we bask The world is turning upside down Where in tarnation are we heading Will Canada's beaches now be famous Instead of skiing and sledding In the storied history of planet Earth There's always normal fluctuations No reason to get our shorts in a knot We're a real fortunate generation No matter what's gonna come our way Bad stuff we must try to prevent Although we're not in total control We must be ready for any event © Jack Ellison 2012

This is so true and it rings ever more true as we face this pandemic here now in 2020. Being ready for anything isn't easy. We love to just live in the moment. But it is essential to prepare ourselves, I do believe. Thought provoking piece. Always, Laura

An end is not far away. Our divisions in politics won't cure the world. All we have is a short time left for the way we are. But fortunately the real meaning of the verse "and the government will be on His shoulders" will no longer be a mystery.

I should be used to the ice and snow but the older I get, the more difficult it is for me to cope with another cold Canadian winter! Love, Jack xox

Oh me too, my friend... unusually mild so far here in the east! Every day is one day closer to spring... an eternal optimist! Cheers!

It's 13 degrees hotter on Phoenix than usual. Last year we spent the year in Missouri only 5 degrees cooler than Phoenix most of the time... When wind patterns change... so does the weather. It's a part of life... It's been easy for everyone for years... Nothing stays the same forever...
