Mist rises in the way dampened spirits are lifted at dawn and each thing that is warmed by the first glimpse of sunrise can lighten the night's darkest hour just as sweet wildness of a hillside turns gold in the wake after clouds have passed

Beautiful images, Carrie. You've captured the power of the Sun's light and warmth over the living, breathing Earth. :-)

Congrats, Carrie. Such a lovely description. I love the phrase "sweet wildness of a hillside" - I can see the landscape before my eyes. Agnes

Oh my Carrie, I can't believe this beauty didn't make the list. You have described the way mist meanders ghost like over the hills with such artful exquisite percission. It looks exactly that way here in Hawaii and everytime I see it I am still in awe after 37 years, it takes my breath away. A winner for me! 7 ; )
