Glimpse

Glimpse By Kevin Robey December 2, 2013 I'll steal a moment, right out of thin air To break it apart untill walls realign A moment I'll will stretch untill it tears Shine forever where paths intertwine Outdated history the last thing I’ll see Beautiful indeed, these rays shining down Endless rays of light staring straight at me Every road ahead leads straight out this town No gender for sure, this love is too pure Like two souls intertwined through a dream My redesigned mind still searching for a cure Dreams where everything is just as it seems No more hollow alibis or transparent lies Just a place I laid to waste a death I'll never know Lose myself in make-believe, never asking why Long reprieve from fantasies I dreamed up long ago This is a moment, just a single moment when I found the reason for my daily disguise My daydream avenue to save under my skin To shine these bright blue eyes under those bleeding skies Down this narrow road into endless dreams unknown I’ll hold onto the steering wheel with knuckles turning white I'll beam my smile out loud and slowly let it turn to stone Shine forever in this moment where everything is right
