Giving Me Strength

I was often scared as a child, I would close my eyes tight. Things always seemed to go wrong, When would they ever go right? A lot of things happened, When I was very young. Now the memories are fading, Except the sad songs life had sung. My mother gave me strength. She gave me the power to live. My mother was the one who needed strength, But taking advantage of her was all I did.
