Given To the Sea
The only true friend to me,
Are the deep blue waves of the sea.
Here, I lay,
Waiting for the day,
They drift on by,
And drag me away.
There I will go,
My demons and me,
To rest until the end of time,
At the bottom of the sea.
My bones will be grains of sand.
My skull shall lay by my useless hand.
My ribs will construct a home,
Down by where the creatures roam.
Yet, I choose this over a proper grave,
For I need no coffin to be enslaved.
Here, my soul shall be free,
In a kingdom not near,
But in the sea.
