Girl You Go
I gave you a present
You asked where’s the rest
Now I’m not an expert at this stuff
But I thought one was just enough
Girl you go
Lose that show
Don’t let some guy pull you down
Find one who thinks you wear a crown
Apparently none of my financial expenses
Match with your extravagances
How’s a girl to know about these things
That’s not spelled out in any movie I’ve seen
Girl you go
Lose that show
Don’t let some guy pull you down
Find one who thinks you wear a crown
I thought when you finally held my hand
You’d find it again without any plans
How was I to know it mattered who was watching
Or who was around whether you’d dare touch me
Girl you go
Lose that show
Don’t let some guy pull you down
Find one who thinks you wear a crown
Took me out to dinner for date number three
You said from here on in, we split it all even
Let you drive my car cause you thought it was cool
Crashed it on the curb, swore up and down it wasn’t you
Girl you go
Lose that show
Don’t let some guy pull you down
Find one who thinks you wear a crown
