Girl In White

You’ll never believe What happened that day I can’t believe it So I will just say It started the day Just like the other Where I woke up to coffee Made by my father I got out of bed And took to the kitchen I looked around But something was missing There was no father And there was no smell There in white Stood a child from hell “Come and play” She said to me I froze in place How could this be? I open my eyes And lied in my bed She stood at the door Was this girl dead? She ran through my door And I just shut my eyes I said to myself “My mind tells me lies” I fell back to sleep To be woken again But it wasn’t the dead Little white friend Instead it’s my mother And sister by side They asked me a question And my eyes open wide “Were you just laughing And running down the hall” I guess she was there After all…
