Girl From Claxton Bay

It was love at first sight When I saw her yesterday She came out Ishmael khan book store Get in a taxi for Claxton bay I couldn't take my eyes off her She just takes my breath away I wasn’t looking for love But love had found me today I keep staring at her As the taxi drove away And I couldn’t stop thinking Of this girl from Claxton bay I went with nephew riad On high street for a lime But since I saw this girl I can’t get her out my mind The rain out side is falling And the lightening flash so bright I can’t stop thinking of her I wonder where she is tonight Am sitting here with roger And we drinking some beers And we talking about the old days And of our younger years The sun sets in china And it rains in Malaysia The moon is over the Serengeti In the heart of Africa There was a big snow storm In New York City yesterday And there’s the girl I love Some where in Claxton bay Wake up early next morning And I borrowed Rogers’ car I was hoping I see her But had no luck so far We went to maracas beach And we stop for bake and shark I look for her in every face Until the place gets dark I don’t know where she lives Or what’s her name But in my heart She light an eternal flame The days are getting shorter And I am leaving to go home Pull my bags through J.F.K But my heart is Claxton bay The winter is getting colder Can feel the chill to my bone The sun shines over Trinidad And rianna eating an ice cream cone A is plane flying over head And in a park children plays And there’s the girl I love Some where in Claxton bay
