Giggle
i think sometimes
of the thoughts you have
and i think i know how you think
somewhere in there
you think like i do
and even you
have to admit
not much in time has passed
two elbows next together on a swing
heads forward and with each other
tilted back in a laugh
heels scraping sand on the way back
adult old and all that
then
the chin comes in
for another push below the knees
Puh-lease
as if we never got that
thank god the sky's got enough blue
to catch me & you
in the swivel of a giggle
a back and forth
no one else knew
chains and wood for a seat
under the sound that comes before a laugh
