Giants
In life, there may be giants that
You can’t seem to defeat.
It doesn’t matter what you do,
These giants can’t be beat.
The giant may be alcohol
That you just can’t put down.
Perhaps you just can’t find a job
Though you’ve looked all ‘round town.
The giants, yes, that some folks face,
A pile of bills may be.
The giant may be fear or doubt
Or just uncertainty.
The giants you are facing, yes,
May all seem twelve feet tall.
You get discouraged easily
And you lose hope and fall.
Each time you face a giant, yes
There’s one thing you should do.
Before you start the battle now
Hear what I’m telling you.
Just pray for strength from God above.
He’ll help you in your fight.
He’ll give you strength of many man.
You’ll overcome with might.
If you have doubts that this will work
And you just don’t believe,
It worked for little David as
He killed Goliath, see.
If you believe that you will win
And know God’s on your side,
Then all the giants that you face
Will run away and hide.
Try this, my friend, and you will see
This always is the case.
Oh, with God’s help, you can defeat
The giants that you face.
