Giant Log Boat
A giant boat stands firm on land,
Not on sea but rock and sand.
Creatures embark two by two,
Guided along, no help from the crew.
The lurking wind seems to say,
“Eminent doom is on its way.”
The animals are settled on the boat,
The grieving ship that longs to float.
Sent by God the wind is fanned,
Into the clouds onto the land.
One drop, two drop, a thunderous pour,
But God has shut the great boat door.
Eight alone God does save,
Evil masses destined for a watery grave.
Everything vanished that could not float,
But for the great giant log boat.
One month ten days unending rain,
The torrent ceases as waters wane.
Human race saved by sovereign hand,
The giant boat stands firm on land.
