I choose to love you in silence, for in silence I find no rejection. I choose to love you in loneliness, for in loneliness no one owns you but me... Rumi

in funeral air colourless grief bleeds like a memorial of ravens she sits alone on a stool in an empty bar - but the pianists plays with each touch of the key, her tears fall, lips quiver dripping down her face - mascara discolouring them black like muddy puddles on tip of scarlet lips the more he strokes keys, the more her sorrow spills - she hopes he will stop, but his melody continues a melancholic musing of tones in shades of sentimental sorrows misplaced in music her mind drifts in memories - she was his mahogany violin he her ivory flute God the composer if they had the chance tongues would sing a million songs receive an abundance of ovations some notes on song sheets can play to heavy some too mellow some remain blank- like her heart hollow, soundless, abandoned without lyrics, there is no music, ghosts of love bring no joy so there is no orchestra of dreams his voice forever silent like her tears ruining her foundation

This is so creative and beautiful even if somber. I enjoyed all the musical references and the way you put this together. Very unique and clever! I love ALL the lines but especially. without lyrics, there is no music, ghosts of love bring no joy so there is no orchestra of dreams Bravo Silent One!

Love this emotive write. I can picture her after the funeral, having a drink, tears running down her face as she listens to the pianist. Well done, Silent!

A "memorial of ravens" sets the tone and strikes the first chord with me, then, the music builds. The memories and life of the music taken over by the ghost of love. But the fondness could not outweigh the longing in symphonic loneliness. This absolutely an incredible way to describe grief and it's accompanying instrumentation. One of my all time favorites. This is a great week for the World from you Poet Masters.

Oh gosh, dear Silent One, this is surely oke of my most FAVs from you, it's so emotional and aching with symphonies that synchronise in the rhythm of melancholic love.. So heart-touching and soul stirring with vivid descriptions within few words.. You've just said it all in a very profound essence and I just can't get over how delicately it proceeds.. It's said, sometimes grief connects two souls, meant to heal through each other's presence. There are so many lines here that are so moving & deep

I must say, that this poem holds a painstaking ambience.. "misplaced in music her mind drifts in memories -she was his mahogany violin he her ivory flute", "God the composer" Ahh, very artistically crafted.. And that ending too... Absolutely loved reading this.

the Rumi quote at the beginning struck a chord with me. A sorrowful story told well through poetry. Sadness engulfed my heart as I read your poem. I liked the unifying 'musical metaphor' in these lines:she was his mahogany violin, he her ivory flute God the composer . Sincerely, I all but cried when I read "there is no orchestra of dreams, his voice forever silent like her tears ruining her foundation." I do so admire your poetic style and ability. have a pleasant day, Sara

---she sits alone on a stool in an empty bar -but the pianists plays --like her heart hollow, soundless, abandoned--your words reach depth of emotions, my friend. I like your Rumi quote--skillfully illustrated in this poem, SO.

sad and beautiful all at once, a startling light falls gently, beckoning to the soul, the soul who knows your muse is beyond my expressing... beautiful and sad and brilliant, a wonderful without conclusion. Love to you always, God bless you, Gina

So sad but beautifully written. We have friends in Perth. Young gorgeous couple. Twenty something's. She had multiple surgeries to remove tumors near her heart. The last one she didn't survive, leaving him to forever grieve his dear Madelyn. It's been several years but he still struggles

This is so touching and so beautiful! It made me tear up! One of my most fave poems written by you, the soft yet deep flow of emotions and descriptions truly touched my soul and made me sigh! And the video goes well with the poem. The storytelling is so vivid that i can see through your words, this character, and her loneliness and being hit by music, music does that to so many, i just felt the depth of these two souls cosmically and spiritually entwined and how God is the composer of music

Within their souls and hearts. My fave lines in this should be “ she was his mahogany violin he her ivory flute God the composer” wow! That left me breathless and aching! “if they had the chance tongues would sing a million songs receive an abundance of ovations” i felt this so very much too! Sigh! How touching poignant and moving is this romantic poem that depicts longing grief and fate and how it plays, and unfolds things. Its another new one for me in my list of faves from you! Love this! This is impeccable
